Dear Community leader:
You are invited to attend a very special meeting on Saturday,
March 10, 2007 from 10AM to 12 noon at First United Methodist
Church, 227 East Lincoln Avenue, Mt. Vernon. Council
Persons Steven Horton and Loretta J. Hottinger are launching
an initiative called “Connecting Neighborhoods”
and invite your neighborhood, tenant or block association
to participate. The sole purpose of Connecting
Neighborhoods is to grow your organization so
it can become a more effective advocate for your community
and neighborhood.
We are asking that members of your Association’s Board
or Executive Committee attend the initial meeting. The primary
purpose of the initial Connecting Neighborhoods
meeting will be to solicit your input in the planning for
a future city wide meeting of community groups and associations.
The Connecting Neighborhoods summit
of neighborhood, tenant and block associations will be an
extraordinary gathering of the city’s active organizations
and will provide a unique opportunity for us to learn from
each other.
To help us to focus this Connecting Neighborhoods
Summit, we have enclosed a survey with two parts – one,
to highlight the issues you face as an organization and two,
to identify the issues you face in your neighborhood and community.
If time permits, please consult with your members to fill
out this survey and, at the very, least bring a completed
survey to the meeting on March 10, 2007. The survey can also
be completed or downloaded by going to www.kensworthconsulting.com.
Your presence at the summit, or that of a representative
from your organization, will help insure its success. Please
RSVP by calling Kensworth Consulting at 664-3000 or by sending
an e-mail to info@kensworthconsulting.com
United we can help your organization and together we can
improve our City.
Very truly yours,
|
